GOALS

         The CETDE goals are (1)To expand opportunities of inservice and preservice teachers to quality teacher education programs through an open and flexible type of learning, and (2)To develop inservice and preservice teachers' capacity to create suitable learning environments through ICT that will enhance learners' 21st century skills, values and attitudes for proper adjustment in a globalized, information-based and technology-driven world.

To achieve these goals, the CETDE adopts the following Objectives :

1. To equip inservice and preservice teachers with ICT and technology integration skills that will enable them to access appropriate knowledge resources vitial to the enhancement of their pedagogical skills.

2. To meet the need for inservice teacher upgrading through short-term, non-degree training programs.

3. To provide distance education programs to various graduate and undergraduate academic programs offered via open and flexible distance learning mode.

4. To establish degree programs in distance education on the graduate and undergraduate levels.
